Lucille's & Black Swan

Went to Lucille's with Chad & Gabi tonight and ate way too much! After dinner we saw Black Swan. Very strange and interesting movie. Natalie Portman was amazing.

Pizza, Pigs & Tattoos

I always enjoy time spent with my daughter. She is a beautiful young woman. Soon she will start on her own life adventure! But in the meantime, we have fun whenever we get together. Today that fun included matching tattoos from a vending machine, a rubber pig, and yummy pizza from dominos!

Brandin & Kayla's Wedding Day

Camp Wild Wash

Our first camping trip. An adventure into the wild and barren desert. It looks like a random freeway exit to nowhere but a short drive up the hill, we find a great spot, complete with a fire pit, and we have the perfect camp site to watch a glorious sunset, have some drinks & s'mores and get away from it all!

Doing a little "4-wheeling" to get to our camp site. Kristin directs us in the right direction so we avoid disaster!

Taking advantage of the great lighting.

Kayla is afraid of the snakes & scorpions. (we never saw any thank goodness)

 Preparing for our bonfire night...

Gary helping Kayla construct her "mallow stabber"

Had to take advantage of the amazing sunset! Kristin is the perfect silhouette.

 Me & my love

Brandin & Kayla...2 months until their wedding day :)

Gettin' the bonfire going...

Bonfires=S'mores!

Don't mess with Kayla when she's makin' s'mores!

‎"i dropped my chocolate!" "&%%$#@" "i dropped my graham" "i dropped my chocolate AGAIN!" ~kayla LOL

There's a reason why you don't set off bottle rockets in the desert. I'll let you figure it out!

Me & KayKay gettin' our drink on...and it's gettin' windy!

Morning wake-up call with some explosive mallows ;)

Breakfast time!

What's the matter Brandin? You don't like it??

Oh...I see...

Give it to Gary...he'll eat anything! LOL

And so we leave the wild and barren desert, just the way we found it, well...almost ;)

P.S. I'm in love with Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 - Time Machine/Cross Process filter. I used it on all of the photos in this post :)

Obsessed

with cupcakes!

..THIS made me smile..

i must bake cupcakes TODAY so that i may have a cupcake sandwich!

Strawberries & Herbs

A present from my amazing BF! I had been lusting after a strawberry pot from Crate & Barrel and whining about wanting to go to Lowe's and get some strawberry plants. So this morning my BF comes in and says "I have a present for you" {goodie goodie gumdrops, i l-o-v-e presents} "Is it edible??" {a sausage, egg & cheese mcgriddle?} i love food gifts mmm "No, it's edible - later" {huh?} Anyway, here it is and let's see if I can bring them to life...it says guaranteed after all!

Strawberries & 5 different herbs in cute little pots!

Strange roots in plastic bags...will they grow??

Has anyone else tried these? What happened with yours?

Oh my goodness

..i'm so excited..
